In between threadmap work the staff structure has been overhauled. The retired and primordial gods groups have been disbanded as they didn't add anything except labelling certain members as different. Members in these groups are now normal members again. This is in line with how we want the staff to be: from the community, more professional and more transparent.
The term gods has been abolished as it projects a greater divide between staff and community as well as the suggestion of flawlessness and superiority.
Also, I have demoted Coeshaw back to member again. He had been absent for six years and not been active since. Please note that before these six years he was an active staff member that paid the server bill with Syrion for a long time even when he stopped being active. Coeshaw was a kind moderator and friendly administrator, but as human as the rest of us and not flawless. We hope he's doing well wherever he is and will frequent us more often, perhaps chip in the discussions once again.
The current staff structure, which may expand with other specialisms in the future, is now administrator - senior moderator - moderator. This is similar to the past except that labelling is different and the position of senior moderator is no longer taken by the general staff account.
The position is now held by Great One. As the longest serving moderator, who stuck around in times with diminished input, increased spambots and no administration to guide him, he is the most experienced and suitable man for the job. I understood he feels comfortable in his role as moderator, so I'm certain he will excell as senior moderator. I'm looking forward to work with him in continuing to improve the Hall and steer it to its Hallaisance as we have done in the last year.
Congratulations Great One!
