Minka’s eyes light up when Alrin, her dearly beloved ‘Pet’ walks in the door. “My sweet, handsome partner, where ever have you been?” she questions overdramatically. “As for business, it is doing great… in the LEFT BLOODY SIDE OF SOMEWHERE!” she yells as if she suffers from terrets. “Ok, Minka, breathe and be calm… one, two, three, four…” After a moment, she offers Alrin another of her overly large grins and continues on as if nothing happened. “Oh, silly boy, take your hand away from that weapon. You know that you can trust me!” she grins, knowing that every aspect of the way the words were said suggested otherwise.
Things could turn ugly… but, she decides, she’ll try to talk her way out of it first.
“Alrin, my dear,” she coos while walking right up to him, hardly noticing of the way the other’s hand grips his weapon. “I know you are annoyed and all, but think about how *I* feel. I was the one that set up that place, I was the one who kept all her things in the huge storeroom and *I* didn’t even get to spend a single night in that incredibly expensive bed as you hogged the room! BUT, instead of looking at this as a downside, I am looking to the bright, happy aspect of it all. It is a starting point, a second beginning, a chance to do it all again and improve.” She teasingly drapes her arm over Alrin’s shoulder and directs his attention to the far wall, “Picture this,” she says, using her other hand to wave in the air as if pointing out a great image, “A nice stone castle, a few nooses hanging from dead tress, swinging in the breeze, a moat with a dragon… It could be the new lair…”
Obviously, Alrin isn’t impressed, so Minka decides to try a new tactic. “And think about it Alrin, do you really want to start a fight with me again? I mean, you surely remember what happened last time… and the time before that… It could prove to be…” she looks Alrin up and down with a small grin, “damaging to your person.”
