Minka, Assassin Extraordinaire, walks in, looking rather irritated and down right dejected. Covered in soot, dirt, blood and grime, she walks with a slight limp and stomps with her other foot, making her boot heel click even louder. Without a second thought or a single glance at her host, she drops her bag of supplies on the floor and hoists herself up to sit on the counter of Merc’s shop.
“Well, have I got a tale to tell you,” she says, crossing her legs and draping her arms unceremoniously over her knees. Cast your minds back, my friends, to a time when there used to be a bare hill just out yonder. Remember that time? Good, then you will also remember the time when a dark, ominous building just appeared in the middle of nowhere on that hill. Well, that was my lair, as you would also remember. Well, guess what? As dark, ominous buildings that just appear out of the middle of nowhere often do, my lair, said dark, ominous building which just appeared out of the middle of nowhere, seems to have disappeared into the left corner of somewhere! If you look closely, you can still see the tables and chairs sitting out there. It obviously didn’t think that they were important enough to take to the left corner or somewhere. I mean, how inconsiderate!!! What the hell am I meant to do now? Just sit around and wait for another dark, ominous building to appear out of the middle of nowhere so I can once again have an abode?”
With that said she gets distracted by the shiny weapons that Merc has to offer. Jumping off the counter, her limp long forgotten, she wanders over to the far wall to play with ‘sharp pointy fun things’, all the while contemplating the best way to get an army of pets to rebuild her lair.
