Title: Code issues
Post by: Darkon on April 25, 2016, 01:40:54 PM
A thread for things we need to fix with coding. Here's one:

Sort the inbox labels alphabetically.

Added some author birthdays and deathdays to see the effects of a bigger amount of entries.

Coding to do:
- Make it so there are member birthdays, events, holidays, author birthdays and author deathdays. Instead of the latter two posing as holidays.
- Give each its own section under "Today's calendar"
- Allow an url to be attached to each event, holiday or author birthday/deathday
- Allow sorting by alphabet

- Multitabbed statistics with a tab for a custom group. Ex. Archive vs non-archived.
- Counting posts and threads in the parent of parent board.

- Make a moderator tool that allows moderators to bump threads without needing to post.
- Split recent members visiting in members and grues.

- Fix spoiler code for whe you use "=" + statement on mobile (and possibly tablet).

Code: [Select]
This works fine.

Doesn't seem to work.
PS: if you spot errors that need code to be fixed, please post them here. This is not a D or Staff only topic.
PPS: if you have code requests/ideas, please start another topic on it.

Darkon, you just have to put quotes around the spoiler title.

Code: [Select]
Test
Spoiler: "Test" • show
Random gibberish.

Actually, it works both ways for me:

Spoiler: test • show
blah

Perhaps it is a mobile issue? I've linked this post in chat to test it, but who knows if anyone will follow it.

Edit: Joe confirms that he cannot see the titles on mobile. My attempts to look up the problem online has lead to posts three years old or older, most of which call out limits in java and such as the problem.

I think it's a mobile issue as it worked fine for me as well on laptop, but not mobile. Still need to check for tablet. I've updated the post. Thanks for the feedback!
