Well after reading most of the Belgariod series by David Eddings, I am most into the whole thing. So I was wondering who people liked the most and all because its a great series. I think I've got everyone from the Prophecy if not tell me and i may of got a few titles wrong so tell me that also.
I'll post mine later.

I too enjoyed the Belgaraid although at times it did seem to drag on, and sometimes the events didn't go as I would have expected, and last but not least sometimes the battle scenes weren't much to speak of at all

[span style=\'color:blue\'] *laughs*  this is funny.. everyone has a different favourite character..  Hettar is cool..  is more than one way, i love their entire race..  i mean, Aldara has a similar sense of humour too...  the way he keeps a straight face and all...

Silk runs a close second for being such a bitch he is and so does Relg for collapsing on his face all the time..  or Lelldorin for being air-headed..  in fact there's NO bad character i would say, Eddings does an amazing job..

I'm reading book2 of the Dreamers at the moment, " The Treasured One "  which followed "The Elder Gods"  anyone else reading it?  [/span]

Who ever voted for Ce'Nedra deserves to be shot, she is the biggest biatch in the history of fantasy characters.
Durnik is my fav, the always dependable person who does something great in the end and can also make great fires :P

I must confess that I liked Garion, he was just sweet and cute. A bit dumb though.
Cant really say who would come second....well maybe someone not on the list.

Korzeth, ohh is book 2 good? I cant wait to get hold of it cos I really liked The Elder gods.

See, I told you! :P Although I carry her name on this forum, tis only cause I love the name. Ce'Nedra herself is a spoiled brat.

EDIT: And by the way, I voted for Hettar. The man's a legend.

Hettar is pretty good. And i agree that Garion is alittle dumb if you ask me. IN a way he reminds me of Neo from the first matrix film.
Also does Silk remind anyone here of Roo?

bah. Cenedra was cool. sure she was spoiled and all that, but she came through when needed. the whole raising of the army thing. come on you got to give her credit for that one. plus she really did care about Garion once she finally let herself see that.  she was ok. meh. i voted for Garion though. seriously how many hero's take on a god in a sword duel.  he was cool hero nice unassuming and brave.

I guess she did raise the army... and she did get better as the books went along. In the Mallorean books she was much better. But... I still don't like her  (I sound like such a hypocrite saying this  *covers her username*)

What about Mandorellan? I thought he was pretty good too, insane but funny. My top three Belgariad characters are him, Silk and Hettar. Also liked that other girl who was Algarian (sp?) and ended up marrying Hettar. What was her name? I know it started with an A, but thanks to reading Tad William's books so recently the only name I can think of is 'Aditu'.

Her name was Adara. and yes Mandorallen was cool. Who else could fight lion with bare hands? and then when he begins giggling when fighting. ah he was too awesome

The man was also quite good at insults.

"My Lord, I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offense against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fir which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornement for a human face. Is it possible that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?"

*giggles*

[span style=\'color:blue\'] heya blode, yeah...  book 2 is extremely good, Eddings is back..!  hehe..  not that book 1 wasn't GOOD, but the ideas in book 2 are alot more original...  and man, i can't get enough of his humour...

Hrm..  if i were to choose the characters which i liked the least, i would say Mandorellan or Garion honestly..  [/span]

I voted for Belgarath. He is pretty darn cool. Gets all grumpy when Polgara boses him around but always likes to act the drunken vagabond when he can...hm kinda reminds me of me :D I especially like the bit in the first series when SPOILER [span style=\'color:white\'] he sneals away from Polgara with Garion and Silk...its mighty fun to p**s a sorcerous off :D [/span]

Mandorallan is also a very cool character. Very funny :D SPOILER FOR SECOND SERIES [span style=\'color:white\'] I was quite annoyed at his limited involvment in the second series.[/span]
