The Sandman Graphic Novels
« on: January 17, 2006, 07:22:35 PM »

So, what I want to know is, has anyone read the Sandman graphic novels (I guess its just a posh name for a set of comic books) by Neil Gaiman? and if you have, what did you think of them? Which ones do you think are the best?

(The books are:
Preludes and Nocturnes
The Doll's House
Dream Country
Season Of Mists
A Game Of You
Fables and Reflections
Brief Lives
World's End
The Kindly Ones
The Wake)

I love the sandman novels! I feel so sorry for despair but my fav character has to be death. He has such creative talent. Gaiman rocks.

Aye, that he does.
I've only read Brief Lives and Season Of Mists, but I do love the books, theyre brilliant. I think my favourite character is probably Delirium though.... I seem so much like her at times.....

*blows more dust off*

I read the third volume, Dream Country, the other day. Pretty disappointing, to be honest. I had read a great many good things about the series, and after having read Sandman: Endless Nights, and enjoying it a hell of a lot, I expected big things. I'm hoping some of the other installments in the series are more up to my previous hopes.

Edit: Well, I have all the issues now. So it's only a matter of time before I read them. Quite looking forward to that, too.
