so whats everyone think of the WoT?  i love it, sure there are some things id like to see change, but over all i still love the characters i liked from the begining, and still hate most of the ones from then also!  Mat, Aram, and Narishma... cant beat 'em.

I got untill book 9 I think, then my suplier of books moved. Really like it. The story is a bit stretched, but good. And the battles, I love those.

I started in the first book once, but never got gripped enough by it to get into the story, so I put it away and now it's on the bottom of the list of books I want to read. So the moment I've read all my other fantasy, have the cash and time, I'll try it again. ;)

I am a sucker for WOT and I like the books. Rand, Asmodean and Lews, what more could one ask for.

Of course there are things that could be changed, like the fact that I fear that the end will never come. I have been reading those books 6-7 years. I just hope that nothing happens to Jordan now so he can finish his books. And I hope he sticks to teh number he gave.

[span style=\'color:blue\'] yep, Zethy is still a die-hard fan of WoT, ok fine, i concur that the story did not progress much at all in Crossroads, but by no means was the writing of a... lesser quality..

eagerly awaiting Knife of Dreams.. i have a feeling this will be out before a Feast for Crows at the rate GRRM is going...*sigh*  [/span]

Wow Locklear, way cool lol

And I have another reason why I think the books go on forever...eventhough I LOVE 'em...Each English book is split into 2 Swedish ones so that means a lot of books! And I read them in Swedish at first. But COT I just bought cos I couldnt wait.
And well, yeah I guess they are always of the same quality...maybe better in the first ones. But that is just as I said cos I have read 20 Jordan books by now and they are getting to me,.

Im even a part of a online WoT orgainisation. Im third in control.
Its a nice elitist society...ah yes.
Anyway, the books are cool, but most people dont like the later ones.

WOT for the most part is a pretty good series. I have been disenchanted by the last four or so books, only truely dispising the last one which was a waste of money and an affront to to all the trees cut down to make it :knight:

But the first six books are awesome IMO with the rest save Crossroads being enjoyable...id just wish he would finish the dam thing, curse his greedy heart!! :)

Flicking through Crossroads I get the feeling that Jordan could actually make the text easier to read if he used bullet points for all the pointless characters that he introduces - esp Aes Sedai.

Reading the chapter where the Salidar Hall meets is just a long list of women, who will have no effect on the actual plot, and who have exactly the same character as all the other women (and I am presuming Jordan's wife).

Personally I want to see more of the forgotton characters - maybe how Galad is coping with the Whitecloaks, and also Loial's actual quest to the Steddings, and of course the Tower of Genji

Ive only read the first 2, and must say they are great.  The first two are up there with Magician for me, and they would have to take a drastic turn for the worse for me to stop reading them.  The Great Hunt has one of the best endings in my oppinion.  I cant wait for more.

Great Hunts ending is fairly goosebumpy. Mats character really grows in GH IMO. He is one of the funniest men in Fantasy.
