Dr. Who
« on: February 03, 2016, 10:57:53 PM »

We've not had a thread about this for nearly a decade. So let's talk.

I've seen some bunch of episodes in s6 and 7, which pulled me away from disliking it, and right now I've finished s1 (since the reboot; Eccleston). Never got beyond the first few episodes in the past. But now I loved them...

Any other fans?

Love the new Who. Peter Capaldi is easily my favorite!

Matt Smith is mine and I found it hard to see him replaced. I have yet to see the episodes with Capaldi, so I don't want to judge yet. Right now I'm going to watch the episodes of the older seasons first until there are no more gaps between the episodes I've seen.

I found Rose in season 1 quite annoying at times. And her whole motivation to tag along a little weak as it mostly seems to boil down to a sense of adventuring. Although perhaps she doesn't like to commit and thus uses the escape hatch she finds. Her mother makes me cringe, but is actually striking for a certain layer in British society.

Finally arrived at the start of season 3. I found that the character Rose does get better at time progresses and that Bartemius Crouch Jr. makes a good Dr. Who. ^^

Poor Ecclestone was only the Dr. for one season. So I found it difficult to make up my mind about him how good I rate him. But right now he's number 3 in the rankings. After Smith and Tennant.

Season 2 finale was quite nice and I'm looking forward to see more of the current Dr. in season 3 and 4. Before I can finally return to Smith's familiar face.

Should be good. Patience though before I caught up! ;)
