Game Deals
« on: April 13, 2016, 09:12:33 AM »

In the interest of saving people money, I figure we can have a thread for game deals. I tend to keep an eye out and post interesting deals in chat, but I've been told that it is easy to miss stuff in there what with me talking to myself all the time. Feel free to join in, especially since what I find interesting is unlikely to be the same things that you guys find interesting. Also, I probably won't have anything to offer outside of PC deals.

Post an expiration date, if there is one available.

Humble Bundle has a Telltale Games Bundle going on until the 04/26:

Quote
Pay $1 or more for Back to the Future, Sam & Max: Devil's Playhouse, Poker Night at the Inventory, Puzzle Agent 1 & 2, and The Walking Dead - Season 1.

Pay more than the average price for The Walking Dead: 400 days, The Wolf Among Us, Poker Night 2, and Tales from the Borderlands.

Pay $12 or more for Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead - Season 2.

Steam is offering the Darksiders franchise at 90% off until 04/15:

Quote
Darksiders - $1.99
Darksiders II Deathfinitive Edition - $2.99
Darksiders II Deathfinitive Edition Soundtrack - $.49
Bundle - $4.99

The Telltale games don't do anything for me, but I know I'm in the minority when it comes to that. I played a good chunk of the first Darksiders and enjoyed it. 90% off is a steal.

Excellent idea.

Although none of the current deals are something I'm interested in. Have you had the chance to play Telltale's Monkey Island?

Nope. I can't say I'm into that sort of game.

Pity, but fair enough. I thought Telltale did a good job in bringing the spirit of Monkey Island back! :)

Some brief sales:

GOG.com has a weekend promo with a slew of games on sale up to 80% off. This includes Obsidian/Paradox's highly rated RPG, Pillars of Eternity, which might be of particular interest to this crowd. Sale ends 4/18.

Steam has its own weekend sale going on, too. The Activision Publisher Weekend boasts a long list of titles up to 75% off. Call of Duty, Transformers, and Marvel titles make up most of the list, but various other titles round out the sale. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines might interest some of you. Sale ends 04/19.
