The new 360 update is pretty cool, feel sorry for 360-users without a network connection though.

Looks pretty cool, but geez the buffering on the videos is slow as buggery. Took me half an hour to watch the preview of  "the day the world stood still".

If I could have the old xbox HUD and still stay on LIVE, I'd be a happy man, instead I have to use this try hard Wii inspired piece of dog shit that clunks around being all ugly.

but i also heard that now you can install your game on the hard drive, so the loading goes faster. wouldn't be too bad if that actually worked

I've been using the updated version for a while now and have copied pretty much most of my games on the HDD (i've got the elite pack so 120GB helps a lot) but i've seriously not seen much difference in the loading time. It appears to be about 1 sec faster but the best thing about it is the fact that the 360 doesn't sound like a 767 while i'm playing. Also seems to be crashing a bit less.

Not sure what games to go with next, after playing Bad Company. Anyone got any recommendations? I'm into pretty much every kind of game, barring puzzle games...

saw that both fifa 09 and PES 09 where going into discount, seeing how the seasons are ending. and since i'm still playing PES 2008, i might pick up one of the newer ones. don't know if i'll go for FIFA or PES though. i'm more a Pro Evo fan, but i heard that Fifa was better this year

Yeah, think I'll pick up the newest FIFA, as well. The last one was bloody awful and put me off playing another...but it's been a long time. So, *shrugs*

been playing the latest PES, and not quite sure what to think of it. sure it looks better, but the game seems to be going slower. don't know if i like it more than 2008 yet

Recommendations would be Fallout 3 and Halo Wars.

Yeah, I have Fallout 3 already. I'm not so sure if I'll pick up Halo Wars, but I'll give it a think.

My missus decided to buy a 360 & kenetics yesterday. Just goes to show how far behind our houase is. :P

Never been a console fan as I'm rubbish with joypads but yet I see you can get keyboard and mouse adapters for them now. It may be just what I need to get interested. Apparently there something called a Splitfish Shark controller which is a mouse/stick combo. That might be worth a look as well as it doesn't need an adapter.

Any one have or used one? and what are they like?
