Music Artists You'd Like To See Live
« on: December 01, 2010, 06:08:45 PM »

This thread is to categorise some of your favourite music artists who you've never seen live or would even like to see again, just 'cause. This gets me thinking on a regular basis, especially when I listen to music I haven't heard in a while.

My current pick would be: The Subways

Need to get to more concerts, man!

I would have said Rush until about a couple months ago. Finally saw them, and they were simply amazing. They played a 2 1/2 hour set that included their entire 'Moving Pictures' album. What a sausage-fest that was though, there were probably 3 women in the whole audience. made me laugh.

Anyhoo, I'd love to see the Foo Fighters, Regina Spektor, or This Will Destroy You. any of those artists would be pretty cool.

It'll be fun seeing Streetlight again in the new year.
It was awesome seeing Propagandhi again last year.
Every time I've seen Cat Empire has been fun.

I missed The Weakerthans at Soundwave last year. I'd prefer to see them at a more intimate venue anyway, but I really just want to see them anywhere.

I never got to see The Fullblast. I had a chance when they put on a reunion show a year or so back, but I couldn't afford to get myself over to Canaduh on such short notice. That still pains me.

Reel Big Fish are playing with the Aquabats in town tonight. I might yet go. I haven't decided. I don't have a ticket, I have two late soccer games and I have to work tomorrow, so chances are I might pass on it. I'm not too bummed though, since I'm off to see Hot Water Music and the Bouncing Souls on the 11th. Then it's Dropkick Murphys, Frenzal Rhomb, Descendents, Me First..., and NOFX on the 19th. That's an early xmas gift right there.

Since I will be moving to a city that is actually not some backwoods hole in the middle of nowhere, chances are I might be able to catch a concert without having to drive several hours to get to it. Maybe. Could be the bands I like try their best to stay away from Kansas and Missouri.

Think i've seen about every artist i admire by now. Still have some on the wish list though. The likes of Willie Nelson or Patrick Park, and especially the latter. Love to see Fastball live a second time, but i fear their touring the world days are over

I would like to see 2pac live - literally! They should ressurect that mo' fo'. And biggie while they're at it. Bob Marley for sure. Eric Clapton would be awesome. Michael Jackson would have been the big one! Would have killed to see 'This is it'.

Mos Def is a big one too, but I'll fulfil that wish in Jan when he comes to melbs. Woot woot! There are more but I'm on the blackberry and can't be f**ked!

i only know Mos Def from his acting. don't think i ever heard a song of him...

if i were capable of resurrecting artist, i'd love to see Elliott Smith or Johnny Cash, apart from the usual suspects as Elvis and Frank Sinatra
