Okay, new debate.

This time we'll have a sporting one: Cricket versus Baseball

How the hell does one decide which to go with? One is as bad as the other, in my books. I think I prefer baseball, though, as it lasts only hours - not days.

What say you?

Well, I (by choice) have no experience with cricket, and given my choice, would have no experience with baseball. As it stands, I have been to two baseball games (both with summer camps, both effectively mandatory), and disliked both.

Considering that I have been successful in avoiding both, for the most part, I think I'm going to continue to ignore them. Sounds like a great plan to me!

They are both shite games, but I'm an Aussie and have been playing and watching cricket all my life. So cricket wins, but if I was being honest, I'd prefer to PLAY Baseball. Although Baseball is without a doubt the worst sport in the world to WATCH.

Yeah, I was thinking about 'watching' when I made my decision. I've never even considered playing cricket before, and I guess you could say I've played baseball. Y'know, since it's like an organised game of rounders. Hmm...s'pose I'd prefer to play baseball, as well.

So...baseball over cricket, still, yeah.

considering all 3 of my older brothers used to play on a little league baseball team... it is the only sport that i even begin to understand to any degree... so i'll have to choose baseball

I hate baseball, I think its boring as hell. I have never watched cricket since there's not alot of cricket on tv in the states. On the other hand I am subjected to having to actively avoid baseball, especially during playoffs. So, between the sport I hate that I am forced to avoid watching, and the sport that I never get subjected to... I take Cricket!  :soldier:

Doesn't it last longer though? So it comes down to days versus hours. Still, both are long ass games, for some reason.

It has to be Cricket, I admit a 5 day game can be a little slow sometimes. but the 5 day games last summer when England played Australia for the Ashes were good fun.
Everyone should watch a 20 20 Cricket game and give their opinion then as those games only last around 3 hours and have a lot more excitement and big hitting.

I have watched one Baseball game in person when I was in Seattle, it was the Mariners Vs the White Sox if I remember correctly. While it was fun to be in the ground with the atmosphere the clips of games I have seen on TV don't look that fun or exciting.

I don't know, Lambert is not only Raiden, but Connor MacLeod. Who can Seagal boast to have played?

My rational is one of familiarity. If you asked the average person on the street (here in the states at least) who Steven Seagal was, they'd know immediately who you were talking about. They'd laugh and go "Oh yeah, that guy... is he still alive?"

But if you asked them who Christopher Lambert was, I think 9 out of 10 people would have no idea who you were talking until you mentioned "Highlander", and even then I think alot of people have not seen that movie.

Seagal wins

Seagal can take out the most villains with the least moves

So by two separate equations, Seagal wins?

No way. Both are cool as, but Lambert is the way to go!! Haven't any of you guys ever seen Subway? Best French film ever! Plus he couldn't even speak English when he started filming Highlander. English is Seagals first language and he seems like he really struggles with it.

All that said, both are gods of B-grade action flicks, but Lambert wins for Subway.

Seagal always reminds me of an episode of Fresh Prince of Bel Air whne Will goes to see Patrick Morita (Mr Miyagi) for Karate lessons and says "I want you to teach me to be like Steven Seagal" and Morita replies "Ohhh, so you wanna be bad actor?!" - classic
