haha, sorry Vega, I'm one of those onion eaters. I love the stuff. But my ex was an onion hater, so I know how irritating it can be for those of you who are members of the anti-onion coalition.

Speaking of which, had some really good french onion soup the other day. had red onion, spring onion and some leek, was great.

Just about to chow on some fish and chips. got my balsamic, and my tartare, and I'm gonna chow down. It's massive.

Onions are good... although I hated them when I was young (thought they were "spicy"). It looks like you're outnumbered, Vega. Onions go on the whole pizza! (You can just pick them off. :P)

I had a horrible lunch though. Awful matzoh ball soup, the pho was disgusting, and the lasagna was dry. How do you make dry lasagna?? I'm giving them another chance though, off to dinner.

Had some nice thai green curry last night, probably a little too much corriander, but overall some great stuff.

Gonna fire up the wood fire oven tonight and make some Ribs!!!!! I love ribs, no matter how messy they are.

First meal I got here in N. Ireland was an Ulster fry. It's not all it's cracked up to be :P ('Heart attack on a plate' claimants have never been to Denny's)

But I've noticed that everything is sweeter here. Even the pizza is sweeter. It's really quite strange.

why would the nutritional facts on the label of tomato puree reflect my being in love? (seriously, they add sugar!)

I'm trying to figure out how to describe the "wheaten bread" I had for breakfast this morning. It's a bit like sprouted wheat, but not... and yes, it is sweeter than bread I'm used to.

"Oh o o, the sweetest thing." I reckon Bacc is right Ave, although it could be that you are more in love because you are hepped up on "sugar".

Speaking of leftover chinese though, that's exactly what I had when I returned home this morning. Was take-out though, not one of my own concoctions. Sweet (there's that word again) and Sour Prawns with fly lice. was great.  gotta love szechuan cooking.

The annual food festival where i live (Taste of Tasmania), is currently underway, and went there for a small bite on Monday. They have a stall which they call "the smallest pancakes in the world". Now I'm not a fussy eater, but if you are advertising the fact that your product is small, you can pretty much guarantee I WON'T be partaking. Especially when "small" has no impact on price.

A little while back I had the Miso-Glazed Salmon at The Cheesecake Factory. Oh my, out of this world. I have lived in Wyoming for the past year and I was in Ohio for the birth of my son. I missed fresh seafood, so this dish was first on my list. Holy Cow, was it good!

As for at home, I LOVE Indian and I have a great Lamb Curry Recipe that I have perfected over the years. If anybody would like it, just let me know. Just so you know, there are a lot of ingredients, as it is made from scratch. The first time you make it, your grocery bill will be a little high because the spices are expensive. But once you have them, it is pretty cheap to make because you just need a couple things. (Lamb, yogurt, onions, naan.)

Also, if you like bar food, I have an easy recipe for a Devonshire Sandwich. I doubt many of you have heard of it, but it is very good and very messy. Kind of like an open-face turkey sandwich smothered with a cheese sauce resembling fondue. Heart attack dish.

I love a good dev sandy, as long as the cream sauce is nice and rich!!!
I prefer the bacon to be the main event, but I suppose that kind of takes away from the whole turkey experience. I just love bacon!

had a toasted ham and cheese pide this morning. simple yet brilliant.

After Ed mentioned a red pepper and tomato soup (i think that's what it was ave?), I've been hanging out for a nice spicy soup.
I hear rumours of an awesome mexican gumbo at the deli around the corner, so I'm gonna check that out at lunch.
It's either that or the old faithful: Chicken teriyaki sushi - soyed up and heaps of wasabi!!!

I have not been able to find a good chinese restaurant in town. I passed one by the other day that I had not tried yet, so I went there last night. They had a sushi platter on special, so I got that instead of chinese. Well, the platter came with veggie tempura, which consisted of a piece of broccoli, a slice of green bell pepper, and a slice of zuccini deep fried. ..........:(

Argh... tempura can be annoying, yes-- especially when you get what you said they served... for something like $10. Never having lived in Cheyenne though, I can't give you much advice about good Chinese places....

I'm just about to go grocery shopping-- we've got a lot of milk, some of it out of date, but no cheese, or good meat (I'm not very fond of fish, I prefer chicken and sometimes buffalo or beef), or bread, even. >.<
Well, 'just about' is a rather liberal term. Rather, at some point today, I'll probably go grocery shopping. Or tomorrow. Or the next day....
