Been eating at this Japanese fastish food place, called Bento Zanmai, on Fridays for a couple weeks now. I usually get katsune udon (thick noodle soup, which normally comes with inari (sweet/salty/briny tofu) and "krab" (which I can never remember the Japanese word for). So, yea, I had that at lunch, and bought a UCC can coffee ("Come on, and Enjoy its original taste!"... sounds like a kind of lecherous-pedophile or maybe a seductive coffee, eh?).... which I just drank. Yum.
My older sis (and her boyfriend, I think?) are coming over for dinner tonight, so I should get to work on that soon. A sort of Mexican food theme-- goin' with mexican rice (fry the rice, cook it in chicken broth / salt water, the former is preferred, add canned 'chunk' tomatoes and/or sweet corn and/or chicken pieces, and cumin).... and probably burritos (refritos, cheese, onion, sour cream, tomato, corn, guac, and salsa on top...) .... and maybe cornbread (made with part maza harina and part wheat flour, plus sweet corn right before baking). *nodnod*
Sounds good, eh?
Need to get to work on that soon, I think.
EDIT: Someone went to the grocery store with a list of things to get to make dinner. Someone didn't come home with tomatoes or whole beans or corn. So that same someone made dinner, which was just small bean burritos (no cheese, onion, sour cream, tomato, corn, guacamola, nor salsa!) and cornbread.
Someone else, that is, me, was quite sulky and somewhat upset that the dinner she wanted, which would have been good, didn't happen. That same someone else didn't enjoy what was made very much. Sure, cornbread is good, but she set her hopes too high.
