No act of charity goes un-resented!

Nah ... I can't think of any particularly good deeds I've committed lately, but I'll credit that to not having any opportunities. Unless you count lending classmates my notes to copy?

some time ago i found a phone on the streets when riding my bycicle home. was a pretty decent phone, and the power was turned on. i decided to call the last called person in the call list, which turned out to be some spanish dude. fortunately, he managed to come up with the adress the guy lived, which was close to the pub i was going to, so i rode by and dropped off the phone. dude was pretty happy that his phone was returned... guess that counts as a good deed

today someone at a store wanted me to pay a good 10 euro's less than i had too. was polite enough to point it out. perhaps if my girlfriend wasn't there i wouldn't have done so...

also, helped a lady carry a heavy bag up to the platform at the train station.

2 good deeds in one day it seems. my karma is on the rise

As a heavy load of snow has fallen in the last 15 hours or so, I've been out shoveling it today. Clearing side-walks, pathways and the like. I also helped out some of the neighbors by clearing theirs. I figure it was a good deed.

was in some store the other day, and some baby dropped his bottle of milk and the mommy didn't notice. so i picked it up and gave it to her. pretty good deed if you ask me. without me she would never have seen the bottle again

My, my, Bazzy. You're positively a saint!

As for me, I recently gave a ride to the gas station to a woman whose car ran empty. Said she was on her way to a friend's birthday, was all dressed up for the party and not for cold weather, and her car was kinda stuck in an intersection. So I dropped her off to buy some -- I'm sure she found a way back up, 'cause the car was gone when I went past that intersection on my way back. That's a good deed, is it not?

Sounds like a good deed to me Ave, unless the woman was on her way to some kind of crazy ritual party where she may have committed heynous acts of torture and such. In which case you'd be an accessory to crimes.

My good deed of the week was sending some money up to PNG to help my little cousins pay for school! $100 gets 3 kids into school for a year! Bargain! Smart kids too, so money well spent I reckon.

$100 gets 3 kids into school for a year!

Makes me feel bad about how much I spend on some weekends, on beer alone.

And then there's all the pointless books I have sitting around that I won't part with. Even got asked that yesterday by my brother, because he was doing some sort of charity work involved with his school. But nope. I did not want to give them up. Meanwhile, all they do is gather dust.

I need to start making some meaningful investments...

Traditionally, it's in your next life. Generally you don't remember why you have the karma, but you're reborn into a nicer family, or a richer one, more religious one.... etc. Or, at least, you won't be reborn (re-hatched?) as a beetle. Probably.

not my own, but one I saw.
I work at a grocery store, right? and there's a deli, with meats and prepared sandwiches and fried chicken and hot soup and stuff. The other day I was sitting outside on my break and there was an old guy, homeless by the look of him, and I saw a younger man in business-casual attire bring him a big container of soup and plastic spoon. The older man looked so happy -- I felt kinda sad that I hadn't thought of it, but at the same time... I was happy to see someone else. It was reassuring that there are people who do nice things out there.

I went grocery shopping earlier and stopped at mcdonalds for breakfast and when i was walking back out to my car there was this man digging through the trash can out front. He was pulling out cups, shaking them and drinking what was left inside. It made me so sad so i took him back inside with me and bought him a drink. I got him food too because he looked hungry. But it just broke my heart watching him drink whatever he found in the trash.
