What is a chatroom?
A boxed space online (room) where you can talk (chat). You access a chatroom through a software program often named a client. Some examples of old and new software to accesss chatrooms: IRC, ICQ, MSN messenger, AIM, Yahoo Messenger, Skype, Viber, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger.
The Hall of Worlds has its own chatroom that allows you to chat with fellow members. Why chat in a chatroom?
The realtime interaction, conversation, can be a lot of fun. Usually chatting leads to getting to know fellow members quicker than through forum posting alone. The different pace adds another dimension to your interaction with the Hall of Worlds (HoW) community. In short, the forum and the chat complement each other.Where can I find the HoW chatroom?
The current main chatroom runs under Facebook messenger. You can access Facebook messenger either through Facebook (desktop) or by downloading the Facebook messenger app on your smartphone. You must be friends with a forum member to be invited into the chatroom.
There are alternatives should you wish so: IRC (you will need an IRC client. The last known address was: irc.sorcery.net #tomatoes)Why aren't you using program/software/client x?
It's a matter of convenience and number of users.
Currently we use Facebook messenger, in the past we have used IRC and WhatsApp. It's possible we may use a different chatclient in the future. You never know.Is there moderation?
Forum and Facebook policy apply. Use common sense and you'll be fine. In other words, yes, abuse can have forum and facebook consequences.Who is in there right now?Ashen Shugar

Activity varies depending on the hour of the day as well as the number of people checking their chat window. If you get too many notifications, the chat window can be muted. But you will have to check for updates yourself then.Anything else I should know?
All messages in the chatroom can be read by all people in the room, even if they would join after said messages. If anyone wants to read back all the way from the beginning, considering the number of total messages: good luck.
