I have decided that my coffee is a necessity in my life. But I am now using appropriately sized cups. That's a win for me. Yay me.

Coffee makes me sick. Like, serious anxiety and depression AND, er, gastrointestinal distress. It's really unfortunate that I like the taste of it, so I allow myself about a half cup a week.

....

Guys. Guys. Guys! (And gals!) I'm moving seven time zones east, to a place where I hardly speak the languages, on my own, in less than a month. I'm crazy excited and a little anxious. Just a little. I'm packing some of my stuff that I'm not going to use in the next few weeks, and donating pretty much all my other stuff. My closet and my bedroom are getting pretty empty.

I'm on vacation, which is a really nice thing that I am happy about. I'm sad because there are only five days left.

No visitors today? Just me, myself and I, then!

Anyway, life is great. Can't complain. A lot of difficult things going on in work and with my new house but that's ok.

Life is good. I'm going to be seriously working at the job I love in about a week, for the first time in ten months (been unseriously working on other shit in the mean time). I found an apartment I adore - it even negates the need for a gym membership by being on the fourth floor of a building with no elevator. I have purple velvet couches.

My French is kind of shaping up, vocabulary-wise, but my accent still makes me unintelligible and verb conjugation is escaping me. Like, I can maybe barely hear the difference between tenses. Arabic vocab is still in survival stages.

And I have had hardly any traveller's gut, and am now mostly drinking tap water! It tastes better than a lot of US cities.

Oui monsieur. C'est ne pas facile!

You do have the advantage of using the same letters between English and your (and other Western European) language(s). Transliteration and translation are a bitch. Also, Arabic has a f**k tonne of pronouns (I, you-singular, you-2fem, you-2men, you-2+plural, he, she, we-fem, we-masc, we-mix, they-fem, they-masc.... I think that's it...)

O.O

My job isn't great, it makes me unhappy. The people kinda suck too. And I'm having a hard time finding people with similar interests, and motivation is lacking. But i still love where I live. I just wish it had a higher nerd population

Nah Baz, you and GO are all the hipster that I can handle.

On a different note, GO would be pleased to know my phone keeps autocorrecting him to god.

I'm more of a hipster than most, but I'm too Jedi for that shit.

Part of being a hipster is denying you are a hipster though.
