@ Darkon: Zombies, yeah I guess it is, never thought of it that way. It's more focussed on the evil magic that unleashed them (and other things such as demons, possessed objects, etc.), but they are definitely there.

That sounds a bit like Charmed and Buffy! The Vampire Slayer. Is it something like that?

I started watching Vikings. Reading Vinland Saga got me in the mood and I've heard good things about it anyway. Slow as heck, but good.

I started watching Elementary a couple weeks ago and am a few episodes into season three. It is a good show, but I've always been a sucker for this sort of thing. I like it more than Sherlock, which I very much enjoyed for the first two series... until the third started and I found Holmes unbearable. Never made it past the first episode.

I also checked out the pilot episode of Preacher, which was decent. I thought the action scenes were a shaky mess and difficult to follow, but I'm hoping that it is just a pilot issue. Loving Tulip O'Hare.

Agreed. I definitely  found myself thinking "just a pilot issue" on a few things, which could be good or bad. I mean, have y'all seen the effects in BSG's original miniseries/pilot thing? The two hour special?

Haven't watched the second ep yet, though, so... we'll see.

I'm still watching Monarch of the Glen. Really only started so I'd have a little bit of wholesome in my life before I got back to Got. But, I decided I liked it

There's a gap between the premiere and episode two, so the second won't be airing until next week. I don't know why they thought that was a good idea, but whatevs.

oh. Well. That's one way to build inertia.

Just finished the first season of Lucifer. As a police procedural, the show is weak. I can't even put it at mediocre because though the police procedural thing is there, it is a light touch at best and no one really puts much effort into it. They could do a better job and I sometimes find myself wishing they would, but I'm actually fine with the show how it is. The supernatural side of things is more interesting and Lucifer's irreverent shenanigans are thoroughly entertaining.

If everyone is going to watch Preacher, maybe we should make a thread for it. I know there are three or four of us, even if Kiks doesn't pop in much.

I started watching Cross Game this evening. An anime, of course... granted, it has been a while since I really put an effort into watching anything. It is a sports/romance/drama/comedy series that is unique (at least in my experience with sports anime) in that it has a very prominent emotional aspect. In fact, the first episode straight up wrecked me and every episode since then has made me cry at least once. I am only five episodes in and there are like forty five more to go, so this is going to be a... uh... quite a ride, I guess.

I probably shouldn't watch it, really, since it makes me sad and I can't really deal with being sad, but it is like prodding at a loose tooth.

Ok, watches up to season six of monarch of the glen. Whole premise of the show is the estate is going bankrupt and the son had to come back as the laird and save the estate. It was a pretty good series, by the end of the fifth season the estate was making a profit and they were climbing out of debt, everything was dandy and they could've ended the series. But they didn't. And it got kinda boring. So I just read the premise of the rest of the show and decided I'm done watching. Apparently, they lose the house anyways.

Killjoys and Dark Matter, a couple of Syfy shows. Killjoys is a great series and Dark Matter is a ways behind it, but still good. Both just started airing their second seasons a couple weeks ago and I have been playing catch up. So far, Killjoys is off to a rocking start and Dark Matter is going in an obvious but interesting direction. Looking forward to seeing what both have to offer as the season progresses.

Still odd seeing Syfy have quality programming.

Decided to follow through on watching Game of Thrones. Went through series 3, will start season 4 soon.

Bit dissapointed with the whole Red Wedding episode. Expected it to be more sensational after everything i've heard about it

Currently watching Game of Thrones season 6. Mixed feelings about the quality of the show and the development of the story.

The Expanse - Season two has been pretty great, but the season ended last night and I wasn't even aware that it was the finale. It didn't feel like a finale. Given what came before, I expected more. Oh well, it was a nominally disappointing end to an otherwise great season of television. I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Preacher - The series starts off odd, gets real weird, and then the ending comes along and makes just about everything that came before it absolutely pointless. I enjoyed watching the show, sure, but and ending like that makes the rest of the season feel like time wasted.

Twin Peaks - I've been wanting to give it a go for a long while and figured that I better get on it since the new season will be starting next month. I'm loving it. It is such an odd show. There are such quirky characters and this wonderful strange sense off humor. That said, it is still a series revolving around the murder of a teenager and it goes to some pretty dark places. It's been great so far.

Better Call Saul season 3 started up a few weeks ago. That show has been really enjoyable, and since I'm watching it week to week it's been overall a better experience for me than Breaking Bad, of which the only episode I saw before the next one aired was the next to last one, so the only one I got to wait for was the series finale, but I like the speculation and discussion that you get between episodes.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine started up again after a break, I really love that show, it's the only comedy I watch.

Doctor Who started up last week, had a really strong episode to open the season and introduce the new companion I thought. Excited to see where it goes, although we have had some shockingly awful episodes with Peter Capaldi, but there's been enough fantastic ones and he's a great Doctor, so we'll just have to wait and see.
