I myself am offended at being nominated, especially since there is no explanation of my nomination.  Frankly, I think these awards are stupid.  I was the one to suggest awards in the first place for Christmas last year, didn't think we would end up having stuff like this.

I know you said you had enough of this discussion Chade dude but i didnt get to have my say. And i am going to have my say now.

Stupidity? Gullibility? Poor Judgement? Who are you to talk about such things? You walk around this board being a total smart arse, making stupid comments and generally getting under everyones noses. Every second post i read from you has some sort of underling snide feeling about it. And when you read about an accident a person, (who has been on this board much longer then you, who has made friends on this board and who is generally respected by everyone on this board) has had you come out with some crap about not having sympathy for people who ask for it.

What an absolute load of bullshit. If you feel this way, about not having sympathy, then there is no need to post it. We dont want here about it. And i dont know if i talk for any of the other members here, but i can say i dont want here half of the crap that comes from the tips of your fingers. Give it a rest.

If this gets me a warning from the admis then so be it.

Look seph dude, ever heard if you got nothing nice to say don't say it?

it's cool that you don't care or have sympathy for the dude that got taken down by the car, there's just no reason to go and say it.

Think how you would react if you went and told a story like that and someone just turned and gave you a big f%@! you, you wouldn't appreciate it, so chill. We all make posts that get on peoples nerves, I'm sure I have, you just seem to make them a lot, before you asked which one of your posts got you nominated, well it probably wasn't one post, if I looked back I could probably find a couple dozen posts that I could of nominated you for if I voted, pugsy aint whinging(read milambers post, that's whinging  ) he is just saying what a lot of people are thinking and are either too nice or lazy(me) to say it.

I just dont like attention seekers, asking for sympathy is attention seeking. Its just like Pug not liking Smart ass's.

We all have our likes and dislikes, Yes what happened was shocking, I never said it wasnt.
But no one had an issue with the calling of the Taxi Driver a drunk, thats slander for one thing, and who knows the circumstances as to what happened.
All we heard was one side of the story and not the Taxi drivers.

I make posts that get on peoples nerves because it generates discussion, look at the Exiles Return (if you have read the book) thread. this thread is almost 4 pages, most of which is based on me saying i give no sympathy to those who ask for it.
And i certainly dont want people to hold back what they say, it you got an issue say it to my face instead of running to the moderators.

I certainly have no personal issues with anyone on this board, i like this message board, its fun.

Just thought I'd apologize for the unpleasentness my post has caused.

There was no need for me to post my little rant, I was just extremely annoyed with the cabbie, and felt the urge to vent.

Seph - If you want the taxi-drivers side of the story, I'll gladly help you track him down. I don't have his side of the story, because he didn't stop. He ran a red-light, struck me down, and continued on his merry way. I think I have every right to be angry.

As for me 'begging for sympathy'.. it was a light-hearted (yet, obviously sadly lame) attempt at humour. The words "Shower me with sympathy" should have been enough to alert you to the fact. You obviously don't know me (not surprising since I've been absent from the site so long).

Having said that, because you know nothing about me, perhaps you could refrain from posting disparaging remarks. If you have more to say, PM me and spare the rest of the board.

I'll gladly let this discussion die now.

I have got to point out a few things:

This forum was created so fans of Feist and Fantasy can talk to each other in a friendly and interesting environment, debate is good, but there is a line between constructive debate and stirring up trouble for no reason (this can also be considered rude & inconsiderate).

Sep I can appreciate that you want to create debate in some topics and that's fine but Please think before you post, especially if you know what you say has the potential to personally attack or upset another member of the forums.

Debates can be healthy but only constructive ones relevant to the topic where no one will end up feeling attacked and angry.

So in future this goes for everyone, NO FLAMING or PERSONAL WARS IN THE FORUMS.

P.S. lets move this topic AWAY from the above issues and only use it for its original purpose that Syrion outlined in the first post.

If I'd be joking, there would have been a jester smilie behind it.

It starts light with drowziness and hallucinating then psychological problems until you die. I'm guessing you'll hit a coma state just before your plug is pulled out. Maybe a few minutes, maybe a few seconds. Be it due to an infection or your brain no longer being able to control your body. Have you never heard the story of that asian that kept playing computer games without sleeping until he dropped dead?
