The only Adam Sandler film I liked was Anger Management, this also started Jack Nicelson and in my view was very funny. I am going to watch Spider-Man 2 tonight at the cinema with my housemates.

darkness falls is so crap.
shrek 2 rocks.
i, robot is a very good movie. a nice blend of comedy, action, sci-fi and with a political undertone that some may not get.

I saw king arthur... and it was ok, not great but ok.
They did not rip the original to shreds. The movie was based upon, supposedly, the factual evidence behing the real king arthur that all the legends were based upon. Hence why it was a realistic, somewhat mundane,  (almost) no-magic story.
It was good, but they could have done a lot more with it.

I watched from dusk till dawn last night - quentin tarrantino needs help.

Going to watch 10 things i hate about you with my flatmates now..... but thats all the way in the living room :(

Dusk Till Dawn is quite a cool film!

Goin seeing Day after Tomorrow tonite (Tissues at the ready!!! )

And going seeing King Arthur at the weekend. What gets me about the movies with King Arthur, is they say they base it on factual evidence yet they always throw Lancelot in. Lancelot wasn't added to the stories till a few centuries down the line by a french author who thought it'd make it more interesting.
But anywho! I'll stop waffling! :D

And Darkness Falls was terrible. But I still wouldnt turn my light off last night!  <_<

 quote=Miranda,Jul 26 2004, 12:21 AM]
I know what you mean  It can take the fun out of a movie if they drift away too far from the original - and it's especially bad if it's a historical thing IMHO

they claim it is somewhat historically accurate because britian was constantly faught over [span style=\'color:white\']they made arther a roman general who succeeded in taking over britain.[/span] i dont much like that idea, but ive spoken to a lot of ppl who thought that it was a great idea.

but that is all ive heard from ppl, i have yet to see the movie. and im a bit skeptical cuz i dont see how they could manage to get gwenivere into that outfit...

Adam Sandler was awesome in Punch Drunk Love.  But 1) that's not a typical Sandler flick and 2) Paul Thomas Anderson wrote the part specifically for him, not to mention that PTA is one of the greatest directors of our time. :)

I didn't like the first Spiderman, though the second was better.
