just  think half-Heartly, "'I,ll get it one Day'',has anybody else
feel the same///,prehaps I'm thinking,,I'll never know who the Upright
Man is !!! :threaten: ,and then I get cranky with myself,as I love his Books

It happened to me when the whole North American publisher fiasco happened. I haven't bought any new books since Shards of a Broken Crown. I think that whole thing hurt sales of his books quite a bit here in NA. Its unfortunate, because I would have gone out and bought them right away had they been released here. But i just didn't want to pay in pounds sterling for something since I don't really like paying $3 on the pound

So its just library books now for me. I have more important things to buy than books. *shrug* I know its not such a nice thing to say, but I don't plan on buying any of his new books for a while. Money is tight and I lost all patience with the publisher years ago.

I think I know what you mean. I have read all of his books (I think) apart from Mistress Of The Empire. I keep thinking "Ill go out and buy that, I really enjyed the others" but when I get to the bookshop, Ill buy summat else (most likely summat by Ian Rankin or Robert Jordan now). I just never seem to work up the enthusiasm for it once I get to the shop. That kinda what you mean?

I will saw my enthusiasm has been curbed a bit knowing that, while I'm finally getting to read Exile's Return for the first time, much of the rest of the world has had it for nearly a year and is just a few months away from getting the first Darkwar book.

I, too, have picked up my copy from the library.  I expect I'll pick up a copy for my own collection when I find it on the clearance pile at the book store.

I'm in a similar state with Jordan.  I now own on the books, but I haven't bought one new (or at least first run) in many many years.

I just buy them. I feel that its worth it to me to own a brand new hard cover Feist book and read it on the way home from the shops. Call me a Feist Fan. The man deserves my money.

Yeah i know what you mean..

The hard books are so expensive...and also quite large, so id have no where to put them anyway...lol.

I just wait a year or so longer for the small paperback.....or if im lucky i borrow a copy from library...but one book between 500 000 people dosent go very far.
