Exiles Return Paperback
« on: June 24, 2005, 10:11:20 PM »

Just got round to needing a copy of ER and when I went to buy it all I could find was a massive hardback version..

Thats my collection at the minute and I'd like my copy of ER to match :P

Anyone know something I don't?

Cheers

Its not out in the UK in paperback till August or Sept. A large sized paperback is out as well as the HB though. Moving to Feist forum as well.

Faerie doesn't get the honour of living with the other books cause I don't like it :P

I take great care not to crease the spines when I read them but I lent my 'Riftwar Saga' out and they came back in a right state :(

Didn't know about Legends and Legends 2, I'll have to track em down.

I always find it so annoying that they take so long to bring out the paperback. Personally I just dislike hardcovers (and not even because they are a lot more expensive). I have all my novels in paperback, and I would like to add ER to that list... with KoF it took maybe more than a year before the normal paperback was available here,... and then it wasn't even any good.
Actually, this was one of the other reasons I was away from the hall for so long,...
bloody publishers

hey; I'm not being a happy camper, am I? Probably too little sleep this week.

Yeah i used to be like that, but that was before i even read a book in Hardcover. But now i love them, cause i can read new releases on Hardcover and when they come out i can buy the Paperback and never read them so they stay in brand new condition!

I find that so fascinating.
I will never understand people buying books just to put them on a shelf looking perfectly uncreased. For me; that's like buying cd's just to read the booklet. :)

I rarely take the booklet out of my cd's also. I'm just a very weird person, always paranoid about having things in good conditions. I mean, why buy a cd, throw it around leave it lying out of its case so its broken and you'll have to buy a new one? i just believe the better condition the book, the better it looks on display! ill stop my meaninless ramblings now! =P

I take extremely good care of my books, simply because if I have kids, I'd like them to be able to enjoy them in future years aswell (rather than having to go out and replace them because they've fallen apart through abuse).

I think the whole lets first release the hard back, then massive paperback then small paperback a pain in the backside!!!!!

For me its not down to the money (not that im rich).. i just dont have the bloody room for these huge hardbacks and large paperbacks.

Also who buys these large paperbacks? might aswell save 5 quid for the HB.

I wish they would introduce a new HB.. a smaller version like they do with these book clubs....

anyway back to qeston....think small PB is out in November.

I just bought the small paperback on eBay... there's a few on there, if you're still looking for one to match the rest of your set...
