I'm a little over half-way finished with Rise of a Merchant Prince.  I had forgotten how good these books are.  I had only read the Serpant War novels once each when they first came out.  I'm still trying to read through King Of Foxes before my copy of Exile's Return comes from amazon.com UK next month.  I'm also doing a time line, with the beginning of Magician:Apprentice being the starting point.  Thus far about 71 years has passed.

I'm really annoyed at how I have let my Feist reading slip.  I devoured the first 4 books in the Rift War and then just sort of got too busy.  I'm definitely going to start reading them again. Good topic, Tomas  :)

I asked in Borders when Exiles Return was released in the UK and they said 6th Sept. Most stores will probably be sellling the book about a week before this date though as usual. The book will prob be available late Aug in Australia as well with shops selling it early as usual.

I can't wait :D, Its always exciting to read new Feist

Is that just a UK release date or are they going to actually release it in North America at the same time?  *growls at the evil publishing company*

I've been trying to reread feist aswell, I've been reading magician for the lastmonth or so just can't seem to find the time, its partially because I usually read in bed before I goto sleep but currently I'm sleeping on an extremly uncomfortable futon and the only way I can sleep in it is wait till I'm to tired to feel the metal bars pushing into my ribs. But I think I could  manage to finish it by this time next week, and then I probably wont read anything until exiles return is released.

I am keeping Magician, Silmarillion, and my hardcover copy of The Doom Brigade (my hardcover of the Dragonlance novel).

so I shall be reading some feist again soon :P

As usual the US release will be about 6-7 months after the UK & Aus release. So expect Exiles Return to be out in April 2005. Dutch translations sometimes take a while to come out but othertimes can be out very close to the UK release. If any of the Dutch forum members know of a release date let me know please.

*possible spoiler*[span style=\'color:white\']Reading a Darkness at Sethanon and Arutha just died. "NOOooooooo!!!!!" But something tells me he didn't, cause that would be just too crappy. I guessa smart Arutha would place the dead body of his imposter in the bed and then lie low to get rid of assassination attempts. Besides he's screwing up the profecy then. Good theory?[/span]

Edit: Thank you Ash for reminding :) W00t! my first spoiler :D

Just a quick piece of information for my fellow U.S. Feist fans.  I order the latest books by Ray through amazon.com UK.  Not only do I get them 6-7 months earlier than the U.S. release, but the price of the book along with shipping and handling is cheaper than what you would pay at the bookstore.

Why is Jimmy The Hands and Gamina's son Arutha known as "Lord Vencar"?

Arutha Jameson owns the property somewhere on one of the islands on Rillanon, I think.

Down Here = Australia :)
On the first few pages of the books there is usually a list of all the books the author has written, and I think they are in the order you should read them in
