I didnt like Roo all that much just cuz alot of his endeavors were business based and not all to terribly entertaining in Rise of a Merchant Prince.  He was fine in Shadow of a Dakr Queen when he did lots more action but thats just me.

Oh I agree the Rise of a Merchant Prince is a good book, but when the many times Roo and his companions began to plot their buisness stuff, I often got confused  :elf_gloop: and thus didnt follow to well until maybe 20 pages later.  I just couldnt follow all too well and thus just didnt like it :jester:

I voted Lyam, but I predict this thread being closed as its against the poll rule. Cos anything that can be settled with a discussion instead is not supposed to be put in a poll especially since there are more than just the characters you have listed (in fact thats one of the reasons for not making polls)

Well i dont see wats different to mine and Favourite Series, cause that could easily be discussed in a Topic. And i dont understand when you say "not supposed to be put in a poll especially since there are more than just the characters you have listed (in fact thats one of the reasons for not making polls)"

I agree with this. For instance where's Nakor?

Okay....*carries on*

Poper, the only reason you probably feel that way about Lyam is all down to Feist's fault. I don't think it is right for you to put him down as your 'least favourite main character'. His role may make him a main character, but his part in the stories most certainly isn't.

I'm going to go for Roo Avery myself. Can't stand that guy, what an idiot.

Easy... well, to have two.  Roo and Tomas.

Roo - oh, I would LOVE to throttle him.  I just did not like his attitude, the way he went about things and the way he treated his poor, poor wife.  I mean, it was bad enough she got stuck marrying him, but then he had to go and be an ass about it... Sorry, have issues with cheating and various such other things.

Tomas - Well, I just didn't like him from the start.  Something about him just irratated me to no ends.  He was too good, too perfect at everything he did, and then he just had to go and get all powerful... pfft!  LOL.  But meh, there was just something about him - he reminded me of someone I know and despise, so he was doomed from the start for me.

Come to think about it, I didn't really like Pug all that much either... I liked young Pug but I lost interest once he got all powerful as well.

Hmmm...

You see the thing about that is that he is so small i couldnt find him! But i would have to say that Nakor can sometimes be one of the ppl i dont really like. He is a great Character but sometimes he can really get on your nerves.
And i have to agree with you on the Roo thing Minka, about him being a slime and cheating on his wife! I'm totally against that aswell, thats one of the things i hate about that book!

I'm glad someone agrees with me.  I almost didn't finish that book because of it.  I mean, unlike what a lot of people are saying, I didn't mind all the business side to it - I like things like that.  But him and his heartlessness in regards to his wife (and children) just really made me mad.  I would have been heppy if she went insane and cut his heart out... *smiles innocently*

all depends who you class as "main" characters.

i never really cared for Erland (Anita's son, not father). No particular reason, just never really liked the character.

*raises hand* Me too. I'm still halfway through Rage of a Demon King, and part of it is because I had Year 12, but the other part is I just really can't stand Roo, and that's hard when he's a main character in the book. If I really had wanted to finish RoaDK, I could have easily finished it in a day. What I really want is that Sylvia biAtch to die, because I've heard that after that Roo starts to regain his wits and treats his family nicer. In fact, I'd like to just skip to when she dies, learn what happens in the middle without reading it, then continue. But I can't do that to Feist, so I must go ever on and on...

I don't really have any other characters I don't like. Even Nakor didn't annoy me.

Actually, oddly enough, I might've found Roo annoying, but I might not have. I'm not too sure, I don't recall too well, since I read that book in a two day-period. It probably meant I didn't like it too much, or it might've meant that I really liked it and enthusiastically sped through it. More than likely not for the second one though. I don't enjoy business enterprise and all that stuff. But it was quite interesting, and I think I learned something. I don't think I had any characters that I disliked that were main characters, maybe except the turtle in *mutters some undiscernable word*

I actually liked Roo, because the business side is alot like me. Very evil ish

But someone I didn't like would have to be... um... that guy over there *points to random person* I honestly can't think of a person I havent liked in a way. I'll think harder, until then...

Minka, who is your favourite character? Seeing as you've said you dislike both Pug and Tomas.

Eh, well they're all very good points about the characters, and especially Roo, whom you all (like me) seem to have a dislike for. Apart from Roo I can't think of anyone else in the books that I have a dislike for.
