Question for the widely read...
« on: May 19, 2007, 03:57:49 PM »

Just wondering if anyone knows what happened to the character below...

(relates to both Tear of the Gods and Prince of the Blood)

Spoiler: show
...Jazhara. She seems on the verge of becoming a significant character at the end of Tear of the Gods, then is absent, seemingly deceased in Prince of the Blood (where we hear about William and James sharing the loss of someone close to them both). Is there any explanation given anywhere at if/how she died

Cheers

Yes and no.

Spoiler: show
Obviously we don't know specifics, but we do know that she died young and that it was almost definitely a result of the conflict with The Crawler. Ray has stated recently that the Krondor/Legacy series will be wrapped up one way or another (rumour has it it will be an online exclusive) as part of his new contract, so I guess we'll find out the details soon enough.

Thanks for the reply.

I didn't realise, until browsing around here, that some earlier series were still considered unfinished by the author. I thought that huge jumps in time were just natural results of trying to cover so many years of history - I don't know if this stuff needs spoiler protecting now, but writing in invisible ink is cool
