Questions anyone?
« on: November 06, 2004, 06:28:03 AM »

I was just speaking in chat, and about some of the threads I'd started, and thought: Well, hey, why don't we have a thread about general questions to do with Feist? I said that, and they told me about theSmall Issues
thread, but when I looked at it, it had pretty much nothing to do with Feist.

So, Here we are....

This thread is pretty much for any questions that aren't really worth starting a thread for. Things like "What's the name of that inkeeper in RoaMP?" and things like that.

I'm going to reserve my judgment on this thread. Stuff like that can easily be found in the books themselves so I personally don't think there's really any use to having a thread about this kinda stuff. But I'll keep it open and see how the posting goes. If it seems to be working then fine. If not...well, you know.

Because the way their hive-mind is set up, breaking a contract
Spoiler: show
like the one they signed with the Assembly many hundreds of years ago stating that they would breed no mages nor would they rise up against the empire or challenge the supreme authority of the Assembly
would physically cause their brains to die.

I believe it was after Magican because at the start of Magican Stardock was only a land title. It wasnt untill there were people and a community on the Island that it became the Kingdoms smallest Dutchy and hence Pug the Duke of the the smallest Dutchy.

Empire series spoiler
Spoiler: show
I dont think that the cho ja that mara discovers that live near the thuril are bound to that deal coz they do have magicians, theres really nothing to stop them from building massive armies of magicians and soldiers and taking over the planet, except for maybe something in their nature I guess. oh I just remembered that the choja outside of the tsurani empire aren even linked to the ones within because when kevin.....or was it lujan is fighting against one he realises it doest know th ekingdom fighting style while the ones he has faced before did.

Well,
Spoiler: show
the cho-ja at the time of the contract were one race. The contract stated that all cho-ja living within the empire are subjected to the rules of the assembly. One of the cho-ja mages Mara brings back with her even tells her that they couldn't have done that because it would mean they broke the contract, and therefore all cho-ja would die. There was never two seperate cho-ja species. But since the cho-ja of the empire were forbidden to breed mages, that ability was eventually lost.

I thought Rodric gave Pug stardock as a gift for saving Carline (or something like that) and that it was so he had a name and title

Borric gave Pug the land titles after he saved her. He didn't receive it until he turned 18. He didn't receive them immediately then because he was on a different world. lol

Don't remember if this is ever mentioned or not. What is Dash and Jimmy's sister's name? Seems like out of the blue in SoaBK it's mentioned that they even HAVE a sister.

I'm 65% sure they have a sister and Duke James married her off to one of the Eastern Kingdoms or something for alliance purposes or something or another.

But thats just a hunch.

Would someone mind listing the books in order, or roughly in order, chronologically?

I know it's Magician, Silverthorn, Darkness at Sethanon... stick the Empire series somewhere a little after that, then King's Buccaneer and Prince of the Blood, and then the "of a" series, with Erik and Roo... and okay, that's where I'm lost. I know I've read more than that (Krondor green and red-- something and Assassins, and Tear of the Gods...) Where does Talon of the Silver Hawk fit? *muddles around trying to figure out order* And where is the whole Exile (Exile's Return, I believe-- which sorta hints at an Exile being exiled...) part you guys seem to know about that I have no idea about??
