The Messenger and Legends II
« on: December 27, 2007, 03:48:00 AM »

I was very lucky in that my sister got me Legends II, a collection of 11 big fantasy authors - including Terry Brooks, GRRM and REF - who've put down 11 short stories together for the book. The copy she got me happens to be 432 of 500 first editions, signed by each author, which was nice. Anyway The Messenger seems to be set in the Riftwar, but I don't know much about REF's The Wood Elf, or when its set. I was just wondering if its necessary to understand the messenger. Also if you feel the need to put down spoilers for whatever reason can you please put them separate from the rest of your message. Seems like an odd thing to say but I've seen a lot of people put posts with spoilers in an all-encompassing post. Either way, thanks for any help!

I have yet to read Messenger, but i'm pretty sure Wood Boy (no clue about REF writing a book called Wood Elf) has nothing to do with Messenger. You can certainly read it without worrying about any of the other pieces of Ray's works.

Cool, cheers. I've read every Feist book that I know of aside from The Wood Boy (I'm always calling it Elf!) so I'm not worried about them.
