My little sister read Faerie Tale, and she's 11.  I haven't read it, so I think I might read it one day, maybe during the summer when I have plenty of time =) My older sister read it when she was older, around my age, maybe a little older, but she got scared.  (btw, I haven't read it yet because I don't like being scared. my imagination can be quite wild to scare myself at times :S)  Even though she got scared, I'll still read it, I guess.  It gets tiring to witness all this conversation going on when you don't know what is being talked about!!!

Really great book, but I got a wee-bit concerned about the heavy sexual overtones and the two boys(did we really need to know about how their older sister decided to give up her virginity? It had nothing to do with the story...I am not a prude, as I would have loved to have been the fictional male character she decided to give this to, but it was more of a distraction than any real help to the story...)...I am not so sure I would have let an 11-year-old girl read it....

I'm very irritated with myself for not reading it yet.

Poor judgement on my behalf.

I'll go get it right now!

Good book, not his best but interesting.  The sexual overtones was a little much but I guess that's what evil faries do.

I personally wouldn't want it to be moved into a movie because I don't think it would be very good. They would probably make it a childrens story and take out some of the creepy stuff, and then change it around to make it suitable.

I'd love to see it made into a movie. I doubt it would be made into a children's story. If hollywood wants a children's story they won't buy the movie rights to Faerie Tale. The book is an erotic/fantasy/thriller. If you take two of those three away, there's no story. Therefore no risk of it being used in that way.

I admit to my shame I had not read this book (and I call myself a Feist fan). When I was in brisbane Camd was kind enough to give me an old copy of the book so I could finally read it.

Well I am VERY pleased I finally read it as it was an excellent read, I did not know what to expect when I started the book but by the end I felt silly not to have read the book sooner. I am pleased to see Ray can write a different stlye of book, though I could still tell he had wrote the book as he used his usual writing style.

I believe this would be the easiest book of Rays to transform into a movie, firstly its standalone and could be told in a 2 hour film. Also the budget would not need to be too high to get a good quality film.

I highly recommend this book to all Feist fans who have not read the story, it took me 3 days to read the first 150 pages but half a day for the final 200 as it was very gripping.

i personally loved the book, it was more scary, funny, and slightly easier to understand.
even though some parts are a bit horny, it's an all round exciting book
definitly recommend it to anyone!

Bah...the book isn't scary. If you find that scarey you'll probably cry seeing the next Star Wars film.

I was thinking last night that Faerie Tale is a mix of Stephen King, Dan Brown and some cheap Erotica book. A suprisingly good mix which I reckon with the current popularity of Dan Brown would do well as a movie.

I can't remember how many references to the game Zork there are in that book, but its a lot.

My fiancee hasn't given it back yet. Maybe when we get married in the fall she'll give it back as a marriage gift?
